Ethics Essay
In comparing the similarities and differences in ethical theories, the goals of each possibility and the virtuouss and values that feces be observed in the process. While the following ethical theories show up similar on the surface fairness theory, utilitarianism, and deontological ethical bequeath be discussed and their differences will be defined. Virtue Theory relates to the pursuit of excellence in everyaffair you do. As one commercial put it, Be all that you can be (U. S. soldiers 1981). One must have the idea that if they want to maximize their greatest potential, they must work hard to produce it.To the Utilitarian this may appear selfish, except self-discipline and self-determination is key to achieving the goal. Oxford dictionary describes utilitarianism as one who practices the doctrine that produces the greatest happiness of the greatest number. For example, a busy mother gives great consecrate of putting her needs aside to take care of her three children who are home sick with the flu. At this moment, the mother, who is also sick with a temperature of 102 F, is not practicing virtue theory because the mother has currently put her needs aside. The mother is practicing patience and compassion to assure that her children get the care that they need. Boylan (page 171) describes Deontological ethics as a clean-living theory that emphasizes ones duty to do a particular action just because it is right and not through any other mannikin of calculations. An example of this would include presenting an inventory sheet to authorities proving that fraudulent activity has occurred buy a company that has been charging customers extra for supplies. The distinct difference of these theories suggests that virtual theory focuses attention toward creating greatness within ones self. Utilitarianism focuses attention by creating greatness toward the masses. Deontological ethics relates to doing what is right whether it be for ones self or for the masses with the understanding that happiness is not the goal but a moral responsibility is. A personal experience explaining the relationship between virtue, values, and moral concepts includes a deontological experience that I had several years ago.One Friday afternoon I walked into a lingo to cash a check in the arrive of $527. 28. The teller cashed my check, but I did not bother to double check the money until I got home. After checking and double-checking the money that evening, I came to the realization that I had 627. 28 cash in my envelope. The teller accidently gave me an additional $100 dollar bill. I could not go back to the bank to address the problem because the bank had closed for the day.I could not with good conscious keep the money because my family has instilled strong morals and values of honesty, integrity, and dignity within me. The money must be returned for it is the morally right thing to do. Saturday morning I drove back to the bank and asked for the manager and explained what had happened. I handed over the entire envelope as it was presented to me and I explained that two very crisp one hundred dollar bills were so tightly stuck together that it appeared as one bill. The manager surprised at what had transpired the day before, thanked me for my honesty and determination to see that the money was returned. I told the manager that I appreciate her kind words but it was truly the right thing to do. Though comparing the similarities and differences with these moral standards, ethical theories along with morals and values can be observed in the process. While it is clear that these theories may appear similar in nature the following ethical theories, virtue theory, utilitarianism, and deontological ethical will be discussed and their differences will be defined.

Field research is Primary research Essay
I forget write short, concise nones. A mix of both types of recording is needed, given the type of primary data exigencyed at the give the axe of the questioning. On our fieldtrip we will go to a small area called Ballyhackamore as it is very close to our work and has a very wide mountain chain of shops. There are similarly a lot of spate that shop here every week. These pot are of a very varied age range and alike an even proportion of males and females. We wipe egress decided to use field and desk research. work research is indigenous research. This means that we go out and collect the knowledge ourselves, so we do not have to filter through legion(predicate) pages of useless nurture, trying to encounter out one small piece of selective information that we could use. However we will also use desk research. This is where we look at information other populate have gathitherd and use it to our advantage. This includes looking through newspapers, surfing the Internet o r going to a program library and examining records or books and the Companies Office if they are a limited company. This is going to be used to find out what businesses are in the area and what sort of profit they are making per annum. merchandise Research Market research is the process of gaining information about customers, competitors and market trends through collecting primary and secondary data. I will use market research to find the answer to my questionnaire i.e. what sort of business the local people in the Ballyhackamore area thought was missing and what they would like to see in the area. This is Primary research. It is also called Field Research. This will be our Questionnaire. There is also Secondary Research. This involves looking at status from different old age about topics and drawing conclusions from it. I could look at maps of Ballyhackamore to make sure I dont create a business where it is not needed, or indeed duplicate a similar business, unless I feel the de mand is there for a second one.Bank I am using the coin bank for the purpose of collecting information about anything financial, from loans to pay for property, mortgage on property and starting the top hat bank account to suit my circumstances. They will act like a Financial Advisor. I will check Interest Rates and get the best deal.Estate Agents The estate agents job will be to show me the best for sale set forth to start my business. I will look around many different estate agents until I scum bag find the property and price that suits my business. I will also keep checking in the local press.Internet the Internet will be used to show me available properties in the area but also to find out about the competition from rival companies in the area. It will also be used as advertising once the business has been cross out up. I could use E-Mail to send people information on the business. This may be unsuccessful because people will probably think it is Junk Mail and delete it. Therefore I will not depend on this as my only source of advertising.Newspaper this will be used epoch searching for the property but also as advertising after the business has been opened. It will also be used to advertise jobs in the business.Invest NI -I will talk to Invest NI (the new name for LEDU) about the possibility of both capital and revenue to help until the initial set up phase of my business. Also in the medium to long term I will promise to keep my relationship with Invest NI and be eligible for future grants.Shell Livewire Shell Livewire is some other company, the same as Invest NI that helps businesses to begin and grow. They give grants to entrepreneurs to help them in their quest for a successful business. After completing all my questionnaires I will now put all my information into a database. I am using a database because I can perform searches on the information I have gathered to try and find exactly what I need to know. I can find different age groups, di fferent sexes and even if the people are married or not. I will be using the database a lot until I discover which business I am going to open. I will then analyse my database and from that, hopefully find out what the public want in the area.On a search of properties in East Belfast I found there were no available properties in Ballyhackamore that would suit setting up a business. However I did find a lot of buildings in East Belfast that could be possible sites for setting up a business.I found a sound property on Castlereagh Street.I also found a property on the Cregagh Road.It is in a good location because this is near Ballyhackamore, however it is an upstairs premises so this could limit the type of people who could visit my business e.g. people in wheelchairs. New legislation coming in the next few years regarding access for the disabled means that an upstairs drinking chocolate shop without a lift to the first cut down would not be viable.I have also found a suitable build ing in Kings Square. This is very close to Ballyhackamore and has a small shop community itself. This would be a brilliant place for a hot chocolate shop or trendy coffee bar. However on further examination of the area I discovered a coffee shop above a light shop in the Square, but again, access to the first floor could be a problem in the future.

Coptic Christians Essay
As one of the most dominant sources of primary readership in the homo discussionpapers have a great continue of power everyplace what their recipients read and believe with this being the case it is no surprise that it is the editorial stand of the articles bear witnessed in your local newspaper that dictate how you feel about particular subjects, especially those of international appeal, not unlike the varying views of the recent pig culls in Egypt. With tensions in the bea high and ready to hum all over the Egyptian government has started a controversial pig cull that has left outside nations multiform and poverty stricken pig farmers throwing stones. After having learned somewhat very hard lessons with mad dismay disease and bird flu fatalities, the Egyptian government began the cull to prevent the infestation of swine flu and it has since been deemed a general health measure of great concern and unending debate.People consider newspaper articles to be almost as valid a source as a first-hand account, often viewing news reports as individuals writing live from the location of the tommyrot as if a part of the incident taking place it is never taken into account the fact that a great deal of newsprint stories are taken down from the Associated Press and reported in the way that the writer and editors of newspaper should see fit. Thus, with the story being reported and relayed differently the perceptions of readers in France, America, the United Kingdom and various other move of the world are likely to be very different when it comes to stories like this one. Although the story has been reported all over the world, the only way to get the mixings of the real story with all of its elements would be to include the information obtained in every newspaper that has covered the story, or to at least take representative samples from varying parts of the world like what has been done here.Where one country may report predominantly on the unearthly aspects of the dispute another country may focus more on money and another on class, so in order to get the full story you must put together the pieces that you cop from the sources you review. In presenting information like the fact that the World Health Organization reports that the swine flu outbreak was stagger through a person-to-person system of transmission and that in none of the more than 700 cases reported world(a) was there believed to be any animal-to-person transmission, nor were there any fatalities or serious cases reported outside of Mexico it is open(a) that BBC News is attempting to portray the views and understandings of various international organizations like the United Nations and their World Health Organization. This newspaper is attempting to present how the issue is being perceived by international health officials. BBC News also spent a great deal more time presenting the religious argument than on the monetary aspects and the class issues over the controversy o f physical disputes. They reported that most people living in Cairo are Muslim, so it is the belief of the pig farmers, as Coptic Christians, that the pig cull is a personal attack on them as a direct insult against their chosen faith. With Muslims having taken a vow against pork, the pig agriculture and consumption that takes place in Egypt is enacted by its Coptic Christian minority, which constitutes only about 10% of the Egyptian population. BBC News is trying to make clear here that the Coptic Christians are being unfairly targeted as the lower class minority, an element not very well touched on in some of the other periodicals.

Looking for Alabrandi and the Simple Gift Essay
Good morning teachers and fellow students. The idea that we comprehend on as we ar un channeld, unchanging is unbelievably illogical. In a time and human beings where things argon constantly changing, it is impossible to be in existence with out being affected by the process of change. Changes are inevitable, and they are happening everywhere around us. This idea is portrayed in the Prescribed film feel for Alibrandi and my ORT The Simple Gift by St unconstipated Herrick. The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances if thither is a chemical reaction, both are transformed. This quote by Psychologist Carl Jung is clearly evident in both texts expression for Alibrandi and The Simple Gift. During the opening scene of the film looking for Alibrandi there is a Qantas plane taking run into or departing likewise in the Simple Gift the symbol of Change is more dramatic with truncheon illegally riding the freight train out of town he is unsure where he get out end up. This is very contrasting to the symbolism of leaving in looking for Alibrandi where Josie call ups she knows scarce what she wants to do, where she wants to go and who she wants to marry.Josie Meets Jacob Coote from construct high at a public speaking event, the two have an instant reaction it could even be described by chemical. Josie and Jacob are portrayed as opposites Josies believes that she is better than Jacob. When the Sydney schools have the initiatory social event of the year Josie looks to John Barton (the son of the national liberal party leader) But earth-closet never asks her it is Jacob that asks her to dance, Jacob Says Its a pity youre not school captain we could have been perfective tense this highlights that Jacob is aware of Josies views towards him. In The Simple Gift Billys life changes significantly, as does honest-to-god Bills. When readers first get to know hoary Bill, the proficiency of recounting is used as we square off why he is a homeless man. When Billy enters Old Bills life, he is prompted to change the way he lives. At first, Old Bill opposes these changes, as he swears piss off take in. He then begins to accept the changes as we observe him getting up early, having showers and quitting drinking. Old Bills strengths towards change develop through the novel and by the end, he looks forward to change as he deals with his past When Billy first becomes homeless I believe that this moment is the catalyst for change in Billys life.Billy meets many challenges in this new place, such as where to sleep and where to realize food. He meets these challenges head up, as he is determined to enter this new world and make a new life for himself. He sleeps in an old train carriage, and most of his meals are scraps from McDonalds. His attitude towards this change is enthusiastic and he feels that this change is beneficial for him. Josie meets thernominal challenges also with the death of John Barton, Josies world is t hrown into turmoil and Josie seeks answers as to why someone like John Barton with all the things he had sacking for him would commit suicide. And asks the rhetorical question I wonder what his parents will do with the sheets, will they throw them outside or will they scrub and scrub so that they can always sleep on them. Josie is in an emotional state for quite a while. One day on the train Josie and Jacob cross paths and Josie has a break down, Jacob comforts her. I believe that this is the catalyst of change for Josie between her and Jacob. Josies Initial reaction to her father Michael Andretti coming back into her life was nothing short of her dismissing him as a useless self-loving object. This is parallel with the reaction of Billy towards his father. This is supported by the extracts soulless tyranny of the old bastard his father. This technique of expletive language is used to depict the poor relationship he shared with his father. I believe that Josie chooses to have a pos itive relationship with her father when she calls him after Josie hits Carly with one of her ancient history textbook. Michael gets Josie out of trouble at school and also changes Josies perception about fathers Josie now believes that fathers have a use, she is also growing quite fond of her father. Josie now stays at her father apartment on Sydney harbor on most weekends and enjoys spending time with her father. In the closing scene of the film it is exactly one year later on tomato day again and the picture quality is a lot sharper this conveys that Josie is clear about her decision to be there and even invites her friends over this time. The samara idea conveyed in both Looking for Alibrandi and The simple Gift is quite nicely summed up by The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances if there is a reaction, both are transformed this is clearly evident in both with Josies relationships with Jacob Coote and her father Michael Andretti and Also for Billy with his relationships with Old Bill and Caitlin.
